Using Liquor to Sleep
is a Negative Feedback Loop

Although it is largely accepted in academic and medical circles that alcohol has an adverse effect on sleep, this seems to be largely unknown among the general public.

If we allow these cycles of sleep to occur naturally, the result will usually be that we wake up feeling refreshed and ready for the day. In a natural cycle of sleep, you will have six or seven cycles of REM sleep. However, when you drink you will typically only have two.
